Silva your very nice man, Thanks for this effort I definitely appreciate the hard work :)
BTW I have a suggestion, is it possible that when I ban the player with the !banip command it also logs the reason of the ban along the IP? Example [!banip Silva too awesome] and then you get banned and your IP + the reason of the ban (which in this case is "too awesome") is listed in banned_ips.lst file. afterwards Silva, the banned player, try to connect again with the new/spoofed key and MAM bans it and also shows the reason why he was banned. Example:
Console: Banned Player Silva Tried to Connect. Ban Reason: too awesome!

That would be super cool :D

Hi guys, especially Silva202, can you please make a plugin that, when i enter !banip, it bans the IP of the user instead of guid ? Because I am sick of the private hack users who have guid spoofer and cannot be banned by punk-buster.

    Here is the formula:
    -------------------------
"Panda" Player joined -> Started Hacking -> I saw and issued !banip panda private hacks < [command username reason], user got kicked from the server and his IP was added in the bannedips.lst along with the reason why he got banned
    ------------------------
Now when he tries to comeback:
"Panda" Player Joined -> MAM inquires the IP of the player -> If the ip matches one of the ips in bannedips.lst then it kicks the player and states the message why he got kicked "private hacks" if not then nothing. That would be SOOOO AWESOME :D

Alright I have done the testing, Both of the plugins are working  But the !rules plugin is'nt working the way it should i believe. I mean when I enter the server it shows the !rules PM message BEFORE the greetings message and I believe that it should show the rule PM AFTERWARDS the greetings message. other then that it's cool :D Please fix that @Silva ^^
psst: maybe add something that makes it execute it self after about 1 second, Idk if that's possible cuz helloooo your talking to a n00b right now :P

EDIT: The mod is Running too slowly, i mean if i type lets say "!kick falcon afk" it will do so after like 5-6 seconds. FYI I am using the mod
on an emulated version of windows xp (vbox @ Linux centos 5.5) with xampp for mysql db and i have connected the mod to game via internal ip. Any solution to make it faster? :denken:

psst: I also have a server on linux it self (CentOS) an it runs slowly there as well :(

Ok, as pointed by Manu, the custom command is a better solution so i will use that instead of the !h plugin. As far as the second one goes, like Silva said, I want the messege to be a PM. So I will use that plugin :)

Ok Luk, I did the steps you described and named the php files to "hello.php" "pmrules.php" respectively and afterwards I added the following to the main configuration file:
    [hello]
    enabled = 1
    [pmrules]
    enabled = 1
is that all i needed to do?
Also I wud like to tell you that I am making some banner texts so and fine tweaking the mod so it will take me a while to test these, I posted this thread earlier because I was expecting a late reply (thats the case in other forums - posted today - useful reply next week) but it's nice to see that you guys do care about your users and provide robust support :) Sooner or later, I surely will let you know if these work ;)
Ps: Thanks for the compliment :D

Both of these commands work on a cod4 server @ 62.75.213.101:28960 does that mean that he has mad a custom plugin?
And Thanks for pointing out how to activate the rules plugin

Hello, its currently not possible to forbid the use of LS with MAM, This feature may be added in upcoming release v0.12. Mean while you can use Mod-Warfare to restrict the usage of the weapons/perks you would like to.

    • 15. September 2011 um 01:20

Hello, I would like some help from you guys in configuring MAM, FYI I am running the mod on my root.
First of all, would like to know how I can add the command so a player can say hello to a specific player. For example,
There are 2 players on server named Eagle and Falcon, then:
    ---------------------------
    Falcon types: !h eagle
Console: Falcon says hello to Eagle
    --------------------------

secondly, I want to know how to set a 2nd welcome message beside the "^2Welcome .GROUP_NAME. ^7 .PLAYER_NAME."
Example: Falcon Joins the server and console responds like this:
    ------------------------------------
    Console: Welcome Player Falcon
PM: Please type !rules to read the rules of the server.
    -----------------------------------

last but not the least, I have downloaded the !rules plugin but I didn't find any code in the plug-in's original thread which need to be placed in the config file, I mean usually a plugin has 3 parts [plugin.php + plugin.lst + code to insert in config file] So how do i configure it?
I tried the forum search but couldn't found anything
