PM message ingame chat (cod4)

Hi develop team,

some of our admins asked me if there is a way to pm other admins without noticed other players in chat.
Yes, we have the !whisper command (and for higher admins the !rcon command) but if there is a admin who use the !whisper command all players can see that message also.

So, is there a way to use, for example, the !whisper command into the chat so only the reciever see the message and not all players?

With stock cod - no!
But you can mod your gameserver in a way that messages beginning with "!" for example won't be displayed in chat at all. Sadly I don't know how to do that. But it's definitely a server side modification - not a GSManager setting.

EDIT: After a few minutes of googling i haven't found anything. Hopefully some of the cod4 gurus around here can help?

u made me thinking.
U are using the cmdprefix option to execute the commands so maybe there is a way to use a second cmdprefix for executing commands only in PM mode?
So, the output of the command in chat is in PM....

Maybe this is a way to 'abuse' this?

Also handy when admins use the !admins, !players etc. etc. so the ingame players can't see there is a admin in the server
